Nail Extensions

Worrying that your nails are brittle and not long enough for you to shape them as desired. An express solution to this problem is NAIL EXTENIONS. The industry has seen a rapid growth in the recent years. The thought of instantly beautifying one’s nails is making the modern woman curious about Extensions.

We at SSquare are the first & only salon in Vizag to use the internationally renowned brand NAILPRO. Here in the salon we do both Gel & Acrylic extensions.

Acrylic Nail Extensions:

Being one of the oldest forms of nail extensions in the modern beauty industry, Acrylic nails are traditionally the go-to nail extensions for many women.First, your own nails and cuticles are treated. Our nail technician will clean, buffer and file your dull talons, trimming them if necessary.

The acrylic (plastic) extension is placed over the tip of the nail. To hold it all into place the nail technician creates more acrylic by mixing a powder and liquid until what is produced is a glue-like substance. This is then applied evenly over the entire nail.

Once the Acrylic extension has hardened, they will appear cloudy and mildly uneven. Do not panic! This is not the finished result. Your trained nail technician will then proceed to buff the entire nail giving them a nice clear finish. Now your new nails have a strong glossy base for any colour or design of your choosing.

Gel Nail Extensions :

The Gel nail extension is the newer nail extension system on the beauty market.

The Gel is a special nail varnish-like mixture containing strengthening and growth promoting ingredients that can benefit natural nail beds. Therefore the gel can be applied to both natural nails and nail extensions.

All the usual prep takes place. Your hands are sanitized and your cuticles treated. However the shell created by the fine layers of gel are thinner than the thick plastic of acrylic extensions. Therefore gel nail extensions require the natural nail to be buffed much less than acrylic nails.

Once the desired look is achieved, our nail technician will go about ‘curing’ your nails. Although this sounds rather ominous it simply means ‘sealing’ the gel. Placing your hand under a UV light machine between each layer does this. The finished result is hard but still flexible with a natural looking glossy finish, which is both instantly dry and chip resistant.

Whilst gel can be applied on top of an artificial extension to add length, it is particularly good for individuals who have very short, weak or bitten nails because it allows the nail to strengthen and grow beneath the layer of gel.

Currently we are running great offers at our salon on gel nail extensions. Give us a call or visit the salon and we will be happy to take you through the procedure and take your experience to new level.
